Thanks for listening to James Bond & Friends!

When I was in my 20s I bought a book of cocktails. When I got it home I eagerly flipped through it, looking for recipes to mix at home.

One that I thought I’d have a go at looked exactly the kind of cocktail I was looking for. Strong and tropical.

The drink was a Zombie and the recipe I had for it included rum, orange curacao, grenadine and pineapple juice. And when I say rum, I mean light rum, dark rum and, to float on top, a high proof rum.

All those ingredients just for one drink that I can only remember mixing once.

That’s the problem with mixing cocktails at home. You buy a book with some great recipes but when you get down to mixing drinks you don’t have the ingredients. A professional bartender doesn’t have that problem, having access to dozens of different bottles.

But try and do that at home and you’ll quickly find how expensive it is while your living room gets cluttered full of bottles.

As an antidote to that I put together a free ebook – a kind of Zombie Killer!

It’s called The James Bond Cocktail Bar and shows you how to mix (00)7 drinks enjoyed by James Bond in the books and films. And you only need a total of 8 ingredients, 2 of which are garnishes.

In the book you’ll find:

  • The big mistake commonly made when setting up a home bar
  • The absolute bare minimum equipment you need
  • Recipes for 7 of James Bond’s tipples using just 8 ingredients
  • Tips and advice on mixing
  • How to expand your drink repertoire the smart way

As well as a copy of the free book I’ll keep you updated on James Bond’s drinks. Usually that means a maximum of one email per week.

I’ll also send you the monthly newsletter, which covers all aspects of 007.

But if you want to stop receiving emails from me it’s easy to unsubscribe.
